Well it's been a while and a lot has happened in the past two weeks.
First, I lost a total of 10 pounds on Weight Watchers so far. I feel great. It's such a great feat to lose any weight so to lose this much already is fantastic. I went a little crazy over the past week because I was on vacation and it was birthday, but that's ok.
Second, I turned 20 on June 25. I spent my birthday in the 1000 Islands, where Will lives. I got my first sunburn in 12 years and it was TERRIBLE! Since Will turned 21, I was really jealous that he got to drink and party, so I got to go to Kingston, Ontario for a day to buy a legal drink.
Now I'm back to work and reality. Before going on vacation, I had a ton of hours and almost no free time, but now I get some free time. Now I can enjoy the summer and have fun.

Protect Yourself!
I've lived in good old Voorheesville, NY for the past 6 years and have loved every minute of it, but there has been some really scary things happening in our tiny town.
Burglaries have been happening all over our area, 12 in the past two months, and so far the burglars have not been caught. In such a small town, it would seem that people breaking into homes would be caught quickly, but it has yet to happen. One of my very good friends had her home broken into about a month ago and she lives only a street over from my house.
It's too scary to think about how easily people can invade your homes, so protect yourself and your home from the possible burglary.
Trim back hedges so you can see out your windows from the inside and out. Make sure you close your blinds if you have any fancy stuff visible from outside your home. Talk to your neighbors because they can help a lot when there is suspicious activity going on around your house.
And ALWAYS lock your doors and windows when leaving your home. People overlook this the most (I'm guilty of it, too) but it is so important!
Protect yourself and help others by spreading the word on how to protect your home from invasion.

Starting a New Chapter
Since going to school, my weight got a little out of hand.
Starting this weekend, I am beginning Weight Watchers. I've never been comfortable with my weight, but now I am trying to start something new.
I recently stopped eating meat, so I really need a way to eat vegetarian food that isn't a carb.
Let's wish me a little luck in getting back into my old short shorts and crop tops!

My Week in Instagrams
So much has happened since coming home!
I had one free day to myself and then I started working full-time. I've only had 2 days off since being home, so it's been really tough to post. Also, I only have tomorrow off until Sunday, and I'm going to be unpacking. I pretty much have no life at all outside of Claire's.
This is why I will be updating with Instagrams since coming home 10 days ago.
Most importantly, cats. I love my cats. The picture below is of Stinky, she's my kitty in the household and I love her too much. I was too excited to see her once I got home.
Justina is a crazy person.
OH! Also, my sister introduced me to Cinemagr.am and it is SO AMAZING! Check some of mine out here: http://cinemagr.am/web/user/1604195

Robert and I reunited as soon as it was possible. Summer felt like it really was beginning.
My sister, Alexa, and I went to Justina's house for a female empowerment bonfire with toasty s'mores. It really was empowering.
(Justina's brother, Will)
Don't judge me, my cat is a model. I can't help but take too many pictures of her.
I'm hopefully going to do a post on my obsession with rose gold soon. Thanks to this watch, I am the happiest gal in the land. It was only $30 at Macy's and it completely beats the $270 Michael Kors one I wanted (not really, but I'm trying to convince myself). It is such an awesome watch and I am madly in love with it.
After work yesterday I went to my Nana's house to catch the end of a family barbecue for Memorial Day. We made some delicious s'mores (I love them so much) with HUGE marshmallows. It was amazing.
This morning I went with some of my family to Albany to watch the Memorial Day parade. I harassed military school boys with questions that they weren't allowed to answer and took pictures of the few funny things there. I don't really like parades, but I found ways to entertain myself.
For work I made myself a little hair bow bun thing. It was so cute, I wish I took a better picture.
Now I'm settling into bed with some very strong chamomile tea. Hopefully this will make me relax after a stressful and busy week.

Guilty Pleasures
Ok, no judgements for this post. Seriously, I'm embarrassed, but I cannot help it.

I am in love with Kitty Pryde. I'm not going to post her video on here because the song a little inappropriate, but I'll give you a link to "Okay Cupid". If you are a Kreayshawn fan, listen to it! I am madly in love with it. Her music is hilarious and strangely addicting. I think I've listened to "Okay Cupid" like 30 times since yesterday.
You can listen to more of her music on her Bandcamp. I'm totally buying it. I want to give her like all my money. I seriously love her.

I feel so cool.
Yesterday I was looking through the traffic sources of my viewers. It was a random occurrence, but I am really happy that I saw the sources.
I was featured on Cool Like Pie without even knowing it! I've heard of Cool Like Pie before because of a crazy Internet nerd friend of mine and I was really surprised that I was featured!
Now I'm going to have to put a "Been Featured On" section in my contact page.
I feel so cool and famous. :)

Finals Week + Summer Vacation
Summer is approaching and school is coming to an end. My finals begin tomorrow and I've never been busier in my life. My million to-do lists are fluctuating every hour and there seems to be no time in the day.

I need to start packing
I'm trying to keep up with blogging, but school comes first, so posts may slow down a little bit for the next week. I really want to rock my finals and I can't let blogging get in the way.
Second, here's a peek into what I'm inspired to do this summer.
1. More DIYs with spray paint...I'm insane.
2. An array of Anthropologie DIYs.
3. Eye makeup tutorials GALORE.
4. Tree nail art tutorial.
5. Home DIYs for my apartment.
6. How to make your eyebrows glorious, thanks to a little compliment from The Secondhand Magpie.
7. Travel journal to log when I go to Clayton to see William.
8. Festival/event reviews.
That's it for now though. Hopefully I'll be able to get a bunch done once I'm home and getting paid.
Happy Summer!

Art on Lark
I'm super excited for Art on Lark this year!
I saw on Keep Albany Boring that the Lark Street bid announced the lineup for the 16th annual Art on Lark. The lineup is super awesome. They're going to have Babe City, The College Farm, Matthew Carefully, Mike Grutka, The Ashton Williams Band, and Betsi Krisniski.
I had never heard of a majority of these all local bands, but with a little YouTubing, I am really digging what Art on Lark is going to offer.

A Kind List by Alli and Michelle
Michelle and I are getting frustrated with living on-campus and the minimal amount of perks that it comes with.
This inspired me to put together a list of reasons why we need to get off-campus ASAP.
1. Michelle, Christine, and I are all of considerable ages and do not need fire drills while we are showering, sleeping, or changing.
2. The overpriced on-campus dining does not fit the needs of people with healthy lifestyles, such as Michelle and her vegetarianism, and it made me gain a bunch of weight.
3. We shouldn't be forced to pay $3200 per semester to have other people who live on our floor be loud at night.
4. We value quite, alone time. That doesn't happen in a building full of college students.
5. The bathroom here is always disgusting.
6. We don't need to hear other people giggling in the hallway all day and all night.
7. We don't like thieves.
8. We don't want to have to participate in the dumb events that the dining halls put on that don't cater to anyone's needs.
9. We don't want to catch the flu, or other sicknesses, from people living in our building.
10. We are way too cool to be living in a dorm.

Google Says Happy Birthday, Keith Haring!
Ever since early in high school, Keith Haring has been one of my favorite artists.
I'm not sure why, but there is a strong emotional connection between his squiggly, colorful illustrations and myself. I think anyone who has ever seen a Keith Haring piece could pick one out a mile away after. He was one of the first street artists, who saw the world as a canvas.
Today would have been the artist's 54th birthday.
In 1988, Keith Haring was diagnosed with AIDS. The next year, he began the Keith Haring Foundation to sustain, expand, and protect the legacy of Keith Haring and his art. The Foundation supports non-for-profit organizations that help children, and organizations that are involved with education, research, and care related to AIDS.
Keith Haring died of AIDS related complications on February 16, 1990. He was 31 years old.
Google is celebrating the beloved artist's 54th birthday with a Keith Haring-inspired Google Doodle.

I've never been happier to see a Google Doodle.
